Similarities, Differences, Impossibility
And The Purpose
As we know, there are a lot of
titles growing literature in the world, and the model is varied. For example, a
fairy tale that is converted into a short story, and the authors take the title
of The Three Little Pigs, Hansel And Gretel, and Lazy Jack as a reference.
Things to be observed is about the similarities or differences in the
storyline, the character’s nature and the goal is to find out how these three
story affect the reader , and how the
three stories can be very popular.
There are many similarities contained in the
fairy tales, including attitude similarity between actors in each story. The
similarity in nature without seeing the position of the characters, whether
they are good or evil character though.
"Why are you
working so hard? Why don't you come and play?"- (Jazilatul, "Three" Par 8)
“On Wednesday, Jack went out again and hired
himself to a cow-keeper, who gave him a jar of milk for his day’s work. Jack
took the jar and put it into the large pocket of his jacket, spilling it all,
long before he got home. "Dear me!" said the old woman; "you
should have carried it on your head." "I’ll do so another time," - (Jazilatul, "Lazy" Par 3)
Two
of the dialogue is enough to explain the character of the figures associated in
the tale, although coming from different fairy tales, this similarity may
arise. perhaps with the aim that the new problems can be caused by these two
characters so that the plot could be more interesting.
As
we have noted in these stories, although there are similarities in the nature,
attitude, and character they also pick some differences, which are discussed at
this point is the difference between "effect" received by the
figures.
"I'll make you come
out!" The wolf growled angrily, and Puffing out his chest, he took a very
deep breath "- (Jazilatul, "Three" Par 14)
"You stupid boy," said his mother
"- (Jazilatul, "Lazy" Par 2)
As a result of their negligence is different,
where the pigs are scared because the big bad wolf who wants to eat and
threatened their lives because they make the home not strong enough as a result
of their laziness when building a house.
When
we look at the events in the 3 little pigs is probably the intention of the
creator of this work is to inflict a fearness or tension directly to the
listener or viewer that this story was impressed to bring the audience directly
to the peak of its conflict. While the story of Lazy Jack, seen when he was
negligent when returning home without money because the money fell into the
river and then his mother just bully and Jack seemed very relaxed when he
replying her mother.
"I'll
do so another time," Replied Jack . "- (Jazilatul, "Lazy" Par 2)
The intent of the creator of the work as
possible is to create a feeling of anger to the audience or reader. How not,
when his mother has struggled to force Jack to work, jack with careless drop it
into the river, and when his mother was angry she only answered calmly. I
tasted here has been no serious conflicts peak, seem make readers annoyed
slowly.
As we all know the story of
Hansel and Gretel, a smart attitude shown by Hansel which eventually brought
them back home.
"Do
not worry! If they do leave us in the forest, we'll find the way home," he
said. And slipping out of the house he filled his pockets with little white
pebbles, then went back to bed. "- (Jazilatul, "Hansel" Par 4)
Seen that he left a trail of
pebbles which he accidentally dropped from his home to the last place where
they are in the exhaust. A brilliant idea, and from this incident creator
intent is to make the reader or viewer to feel amazed and shocked by his
intelligence. That's what I felt when reading the story.
To be useful for other people
would make anyone happy, as well as in the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel, and
Jack sluggard. Hansel an intelligent brother is able to remove the fear
experienced by Gretel and finally bring them back to his house.
The
same thing happened to Jack, because his foolishness jack managed to make the
princess laughing, because originally she cannot laugh anymore.
This makes the reader or viewer
to feel the presence of a happy ending to the story.
As
we know about fairy tales, things that happen in is not real, so that the
events in the story are also not real even seem unreasonable, but they are made
to support and provide the pressures within the story
Of
course, pigs can not build a house like human, this doesn’t make sense. But as
has been described, it is probably intended to support the story so as to
create a longer flow.
Another
impossibility that happens is when Hansel dropped seeds to ease him when they
wanted to return home. The seeds can be lost due to blown by the wind or by
birds, or other things that could happen. but even so finally explained also
that the seed is also lost in the story.
Perhaps the intent of the author is solely to entertain
people and give meaning to the story that contains many elements that contain
silliness, ingenuity and even things that sound impossible. but as a
connoisseur of the work, of course we should understand that, especially works
that are used in this paper is the work that comes from a fairy tale that is
certainly not the case.
The authors think that the third story has a unique
story, and diversity in the nature of the story. As in the story of Hansel and
Gretel, when they dumped somewhere but because an ingenious mind from Hansel
they can return home, it creates a good impression for the reader. And the
nature of any figures can build bad feeling to the reader, like Jack who
"may" invite the reader to feel down to upset because his folly, but when he became
rich, that's what always remembered by the reader.
